While NASCAR Fiesta Modified points leader Joe Aramendia and NASCAR Stock car points leader David Webster hold substantial leads in their respective classes, the NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck series is as close as it has been all season.

“Rick Pollaro and Zach Knowles have been fighting for the top spot in the NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck points standings all season,” said John Mandabach, vice president and general manager of HMP. “They have put a show on for the fans each an every time out. I know that will continue on Saturday night (Sept. 28) at Fiesta’s Fall Fastival.”

Pollaro and Knowles will again have their work cut out for them, as they will take on a field of drivers that will include four drivers – Kyle Books, Jake French, Charles Evans Jr. and Justin-Paul Steiner – that have won races in the NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck series this season.

All four are locked into their own points battles, as a spot up or down in the finishing order on Saturday night could drastically affect their final spot in the points standings and winnings that come along with that place.

“The drivers in the NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck class are fighting for a points purse of $5,000 to be split among the top 16 finishers – with the top spot taking home $1,000,” Mandabach said. “Right now Pollaro has the top spot, but Zach is right on his heels. If Saturday night’s battle on the track is like what we are used to seeing from these two, then we could certainly have a new points leader by the end of the night.

“This is definitely the most exciting time of the season.”

Fans will also see racing in the Ecostock class, where Taylor Harris and Robert Henson will continue their battle for the 2013 championship.

Tickets are available for this exciting night of racing for $5 at area Fiesta Marts, or for $12 on Saturday night at the gate.
