General Rules – Applies to All
Maximum of 160 factory rated horsepower.
Car must meet either Option 1 OR Option 2.
No 2-seater vehicles allowed. Vehicle must have come from factory with a back seat.
No turbos or superchargers allowed.
Car must be completely factory stock. No aftermarket parts of any kind allowed.
Tires must be DOT approved. All four tires must be the same size. Series rating on tire must be 55 series or higher and must be legible on side of tire. Tires must be inflated to at least 30 psi.
May camber only right front wheel to help with tire wear. Camber is only alteration permitted. No cutting, lengthening and re-welding permitted. May slot bolt holes. No additional bracing.
Only seats, carpet, door panels, headliner and catalytic converter may be removed.
Full-face racing type helmet with a minimum of SNELL 95 or SA 2000 rating. Date must be within last five years.
An approved fire retardant driver’s suit required. Double layer or more, fire retardant driving suit of Nomex or equivalent material not required but strongly recommended. (Nomex underwear is strongly recommended also).
Racing gloves & racing shoes required.
Racing seat may be installed in place of factory driver’s seat.
Must have seat belts. Factory belt may be replaced with 5 point racing harness and is strongly recommended.
Driver’s side quick release or push button window net required.
Four (4) point cage with three (3) driver door bars mandatory. 1.5” .095 tubing minimum.
Every race car must have a fire extinguisher that is fully charged with a functional gauge. Fire extinguisher must be mounted in vehicle within driver’s immediate reach.
Transponders are required and must be on and operational whenever the car is on the track. Transponders are required and must be on and operational whenever the car is on the track. Transponder must be mounted no further forward than 24 inches behind the center of the right front lower ball joint, inside the frame rail, with no obstructions below it and the track surface. All drivers must have and listen to a scanner or Raceiver tuned to HMP Race Director’s frequency during all racing sessions.
Battery must remain in factory location and be securely mounted.
All windows except front windshield must be removed.
All lights, lenses and factory mirrors must be removed. One 3” spot mirror is permitted and must be located on driver’s door completely within body line.
No antifreeze may be run in vehicle. Water only in cooling system.
Unaltered VIN plate must be on vehicle.
Vehicle must remain factory stock! Nothing else other than what is listed above may be altered, removed, changed, etc.
After competing in three races, vehicles are subject to be claimed by anyone including spectators after the race for $1800. Claim does not include the driver’s seat, seat belt, window net, transponder & fire extinguisher.
